Fraud Consultants UK evolved from the need for skilled fraud investigation professionals who research, investigate and present complex fraud offences in a clear and concise manner.

Fraudulent attacks on businesses in the past year alone have become more frequent and more complex, with medium to large organisations proving to be the biggest casualties. An estimated six pence in every pound is lost to fraud in the UK and the average recovery of loss is only 20%. Over 40% of victims recovered nothing. The complexity and frequency of fraudulent activity far outweighs the availability and resources of the police to investigate. My Fraud Consultancy service offers a confidential and professional alternative. We can identify offences, collaborate evidence, and provide our clients with a clear case, formulated to be presented to the appropriate body for further action.

As director of the Fraud Consultants UK, I have over 20 years police service in Essex, The Metropolitan, and Kent police services, 12 years working in a Detective Constable role. I have served on specialist units, including Murder, Robbery and Fraud investigation. I have been involved in high profile cases including large scale fraud investigations which have included identity theft, company fraud, employee theft and offences under the Fraud Act 2006. During these investigations I have worked with other Government agencies and police services and have gained the expertise and experience necessary to pursue a successful case. I've have been awarded commendations for my investigative work.

I'm currently active in the prevention of fraud and have been involved in the development and training of staff within this area of criminal investigation. I'm also actively involved in fraud prevention and awareness and I am committed to offering a professional, confidential and individual service to clients who have been exposed to fraud.

Darren Jones has received two commendations for investigation commending him for his professionalism and commitment.

Judge's Mention

Darren Jones was the officer in the case in operation Lapwing a multi-million pound identity theft and money laundering investigation. The money was obtained from a leading insurance provider. £400,000 was recovered by Darren Jones during the investigation and returned to the insurance company.
Judge Carey paid tribute to Darren and lead counsel on the quality of the case which was prepared and presented to court. The case received media attention on BBC news and was reported on by local and national press.
